Although the academic programs at St. Louis Theological Seminary are designed for distance education, selected courses are offered with supplemental lectures that may be attended on campus. Students may also participate in study labs, use the library, meet with some instructors and other members of the administration (by appointment), and fellowship on campus. Special lectures open to the public sponsored by STLTS and the annual graduation ceremony are also held on campus.
Local Transportation
Bi-State has several bus routes with stops within walking distance of STLTS:
#90 Hampton;
#52 Clayton South County (Clayton Avenue/Oakland Avenue);
#57 Manchester; and
#16 City Limits (Skinker Boulevard).
MetroLink provides light rail transportation with bus connections to STLTS:
Forest Park Station, connecting to the #90 bus; and
Central West End Station, connecting to the #52 bus.
Long Distance Transportation
Amtrak train and Greyhound bus companies have terminals in downtown St.
Louis located within walking distance of the 14th Street and Convention
Center MetroLink stations. St. Louis International Airport (STL) in
north St. Louis County and MidAmerica Airport (BLV) in Mascoutah,
Illinois provide commercial air transportation with Metro Link stations
located at both airport terminals. Spirit of St. Louis Airport
accommodates private aircraft in nearby Chesterfield, Missouri.
Library
The Eugene F. Rueweler Memorial Library is open on Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Library materials are available
to patrons from the St. Louis Bible Fellowship church; STLTS students,
faculty, and alumni; and as a resource for students of religious
studies from other institutions and the community. In addition to the
St. Louis City and St. Louis County public library systems, there are
numerous college and university libraries in the metropolitan area.
Study Facilities
STLTS students are invited to schedule meetings with faculty or members
of the administration, attend study labs, or fellowship with other
students on campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The building opens at
1:00 p.m. and closes at 9:00 p.m.
Parking
Non-metered street parking is available on Victoria and Graham Avenues, as well as surrounding streets.
Access to Facilities
Designated disabled parking spaces are located on Victoria Avenue, and
there is off-street parking located on the Graham Avenue alley.
Wheelchair access to the building is from Victoria Avenue and from the
off-street parking area. An elevator serves the lower level and main
floor. Contact the Director of Student Affairs for special
accommodations.
Food Services
A variety of restaurants and fast food establishments are within easy walking distance.
Smoking Areas
No smoking is permitted in the building at any time.
Recreational Facilities
STLTS is located three blocks south of historic Forest Park, one of the
largest city parks in the nation. Forest Park offers numerous
recreational opportunities: golf, tennis, handball, racquetball,
softball, archery, bicycling, roller skating, ice skating, fishing, and
paddle boating. The zoo, science center, history museum, art museum,
and municipal opera are additional attractions within Forest Park.
